Sharpening Iron Episode 10: The Houses of the Covenant

The Two Stick Prophecy in Book of Ezekiel foretells the reunification of the divided kingdoms of Israel. The stick of Judah and the stick of Joseph (Ephraim) are joined into one in the prophet's hand, symbolizing that Yah will gather His scattered people and make them one nation under one king. Many believers see this prophecy as ultimately fulfilled in Yeshua the Messiah. Through His death and resurrection, He not only restores the lost sheep of Israel but also brings Gentiles into Yahuah's covenant people. As Paul the Apostle explains in Epistle to the Romans, believing Gentiles are grafted into the olive tree of Israel, becoming fellow heirs of Yah's promises. Thus, the joining of the two sticks foreshadows the creation of one unified people of God—native Israelites and grafted-in Gentiles—under the reign of the Messiah, fulfilling God's promise to make them "one in His hand."
