Minky Dot & Flannel Baby Blanket | Easy Sew And Turn Method | Beginner Friendly Or Not?

I love a good Sew and Turn baby blanket...just sew around the edges, leave an opening, turn it right side out, top stitch the edges and the opening closed, then do a little bit of machine quilting...and you have a quick baby quilt. But not so fast...is it always that easy? Welcome to the Easy Sew & Turn Baby Blanket Series! In each tutorial, we're making the same beautiful baby blanket using different fabric combinations so you can decide which one is best for your next project. In today's video, I'm putting Minky Dot and flannel to the test. Minky is wonderfully soft and makes beautiful baby gifts, but it behaves very differently than fleece. I'll show you exactly what happened, share the sewing tips I've learned over many years, and help you decide if this version is truly beginner friendly. In this tutorial you'll learn: • How to sew a Minky Dot and flannel baby blanket • Tips for when things happen...like fabric growing and shifting • My favorite method for pinning and machine quilting this type of baby blanket • Whether Minky is a good choice for beginning sewists If you're brand new to sewing, I recommend starting with my Flannel & Fleece Baby Blanket tutorial first. It uses the same easy Sew and Turn method, but fleece is much easier to work with and is my favorite version for beginners. ⬇️ Watch it here:    • The EASIEST Baby Quilt for Beginners! Quic...   🧵 Printable Pattern Prefer to sew with a printed pattern beside your machine?
