Tool Cabinet Prototype with Rob Cosman

This is my tool cabinet prototype. It is made of construction grade plywood and pine, mostly screwed together with a few dovetails here and there. As part of our Power/Hand Tool workshop, we are building a custom tool cabinet. I want this to be my "perfect" working storage for my tools. To do that requires a lot of trial and error so we started with an idea of how it would look but the placement of the tools was a much more involved process. I had a general idea of where I wanted things but you need working time to really test it out. Once we designed each holder the next task was to use it and see if it remained "user friendly" in real life. This project has been ongoing for a few years. We recently started the final build using maple mdf core plywood, birdseye maple trim and accents as well as mahogany. The idea is to compliment my bench made from the same woods. Enjoy!
