Let me remind everyone that these vehicles, regardless of whether they're assembled in the USA or Korea, unfortunately have the same soft and ineffective suspension! The new rear springs can easily be compressed by hand by 2-3 cm, and their diameter and load-bearing capacity are smaller than those for VAZ - Lanos vehicles! Our experience repairing and operating these cars has shown that the practical service life of the front springs in the Avante 5 - Elantra MD in CIS conditions does not exceed 90,000-110,000 km (at higher mileage, the springs often burst and there are constant breakdowns under compression). Unfortunately, the soft rear springs do not work from the start. When three passengers are seated (in the rear seats), the rear of the car in a new car sits (by 30-40 mm) on the rubber body stops! Also, installing additional gas cylinder equipment (weight 50-60 kg) lowers the rear by more than 30 mm. Let me remind you that in all cars (Elantra MD, Cerato 2-3, RIO-Solaris, KIA Soul, Elantra GT, Veloster), the low load-bearing capacity of the rear suspension causes the rubber bump stop to constantly lock into the rear beam. Due to compression, the beam position changes, resulting in constant rear steer on rough roads and at high speeds! This behavior really impairs control and irritates many drivers! To solve these problems, we install reinforced spring kits and more effective KYB Excel-G shock absorbers, proven over the years on European and CIS roads. These kits completely eliminate rear steer and suspension bottoming during compression and extension, increasing the load-bearing capacity and energy absorption of the suspension. In practice, you can drive faster and more comfortably on rough roads, without suspension bottoming during compression and lateral and longitudinal body roll, which, believe me, is a significant benefit for any class of car! The video shows the front heavy-duty MZPL132320FR springs and KYB 3330048-49 shock absorbers. The rear heavy-duty MZPL0727RR springs are 30mm higher for LPG vehicles and KYB 343307 shock absorbers are 30mm higher. We use different heights of rear heavy-duty springs: 320mm, 340mm, and 360mm. They are selected based on the specific application and the weight of the additional equipment! You can also install denser and more efficient KYB shock absorbers (part number 344445) at the rear.
