Blencathra Circuit - Mungrisdale Common | Bowscale Fell | Bannerdale Crags | Lake District Walks

The mighty Blencathra is often one of the first hills seen by visitors arriving in the English Lake District. Sometimes known as "Saddleback," because of its famous profile, Blencathra is a favourite fell for walkers, some of whom ascend via the intimidating scramble known as "Sharp Edge." On an initially cloudy day in late April 2023, Neil chooses another route, up Scales Fell, which is more accessible to everyday walkers, and then visits Mungrisdale Common, Bowscale Fell and Bannerdale Crags.
