We can put a man on the moon and send messages through the air in an instant, yet we carry the same ancient burdens of envy, deceit, and greed that humanity has wrestled with for thousands of years. This video is a visual and poetic meditation on the modern human condition, channeled through the philosophical lenses of Nezahualcoyotl and Omar Khayyam. Written in the Chicontepec variant of Nahuatl using modern SEP orthography, the poem contrasts the fragile artifice of our digital creations with the unyielding truth found in nature and a life aligned with the forest.
