ULTRA 500 km à vélo _ Je me perds 2 fois, je crève un pneu... Mais que le Vercors est beau !

On the menu: two majestic mountain ranges: Pilat and Vercors. It was an ultra with quite a few twists and turns. I crashed twice, forcing me to carry my bike on my shoulder. I find myself in deep shit. How do I get through? 06:22 Heading for the Col de l'Oeillon. It's wet, but the view from the top is magical. 08:42 I head towards Ardèche. I pass through the Col de la République, the first pass crossed by the Tour de France. 10:47 I arrive at the famous Ardèche via ferrata. No cars. Pure pleasure. 13:30 I pass through Saint Vallier and cross the Drôme des Collines, truffle country. 15:37 I stock up on supplies at a supermarket and... Shit, I'm dying. 18:58 I set off again, afraid of getting another flat tire. Heading for the foot of the Vercors. 21:09 I tackle the biggest pass of my journey: the Col de la Bataille. At the top, I'm treated to a magnificent view of the valleys in the shadow of the setting sun. 25:30 I refill my water and arrive at my sleeping spot. Time for a quick freshening up. I thought I was all alone... Luckily they didn't see me stark naked! 29:13 I leave the refuge... It's 4:00 a.m. Eyes are watching me in the darkness. I'm off to cross the southern Vercors at night. 32:47 Wow, what a view of the cliffs of the Col de Rousset. I descend towards the Drôme Valley. Damn, I almost got knocked down by a deer... 35:54 I start climbing the Col de Menée. I've never done it before. I was surprised by the scenery it offers. View of Mont Aiguille. 38:39 I'm struggling. I'm suffering terribly on the climb to the Col de l'Allimas. 42:11 I'm almost finished climbing the Vercors. I come across a collapsed road. Turning back is out of the question. 47:33 I refuel in Vif (38). Phew, here are finally the Grenoble cycle paths. 48:59 The cycle paths are over, I'm heading towards Côte Saint André.
