Odisha Rain Alert | Minister Suresh Pujari Holds High-Level Meeting | IMD Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari chaired a high-level review meeting at Lok Seva Bhawan to assess the heavy rainfall situation across Odisha. With various districts on alert, the minister directed local administrations to monitor the situation closely and evacuate residents from vulnerable areas if needed. Relief measures, including cooked food and polythene sheets, have been ordered alongside putting ODRAF and Fire Services personnel on high alert until tomorrow evening. While flash flood mitigation steps like deployment of motor pumps are active, the minister noted that riverine flood fears remain low due to no rain in the upper catchment areas.
