【越南旅遊】世界遺產順化皇城全攻略：探秘「迷你版紫禁城」，為何它不敢用紅牆金瓦？與北京故宮有何不同？| Hue Imperial City Guide

Would you believe it? More than 2,000 kilometers away from Beijing, in central Vietnam, there is actually a second "Forbidden City" – the only other one in the world! In this video, I take you into the pinnacle of power of Vietnam's last feudal dynasty, the Nguyen Dynasty – the Hue Imperial City. Not only does it have its own Meridian Gate and Hall of Supreme Harmony, but even the layout of the inner palace and the imperial ancestral temple is exactly the same as the Forbidden City in Beijing. That's why it's called the "Mini Forbidden City" or the "Copycat Forbidden City". But as we explore deeper, you'll see it's far from a simple replica. Why didn't the Hue Imperial City dare to use the "red walls and golden tiles" that symbolize imperial majesty, opting instead for low-key yellow walls and black tiles? Why are all the ancient monuments here covered in Chinese characters, yet the local Vietnamese can't read them, while those of us who know Chinese characters can understand them instantly? We'll also visit the recently restored, Sino-Franco-Italian hybrid mysterious bedchamber – Kien Trung Palace, and get an up-close look at the Hue Royal Antiquities Museum, which houses countless royal treasures.
