We set off from Lamayuru towards Padum along a route that promises dirt roads, adventure, and high mountain passes. It's a full-day journey. We travel through the narrow Wanla River valley, then turn off along the Spanthang River on a road that leads to the Sirsir-La and Singe-La passes. A blocked road forces us to detour to Nierak, where we'll experience the adventure of traveling along a road under construction that isn't marked on maps, ultimately leading us to Padum.
