Modal Analysis of FGM Plate with Fictitious Temperature Method in ANSYS | 3D Element Approach

In this video, we demonstrate the modal analysis of a Functionally Graded Material (FGM) plate modeled using 3D solid elements. The fictitious temperature method is used to represent the variation of material properties along the thickness direction. This approach is especially useful for complex geometries where meshing with 3D elements makes it difficult to directly define graded material properties. By coupling the material variation with a temperature field, we can efficiently simulate FGMs in commercial FEA software such as ANSYS. Note: The density value shown in the video is incorrect due to a unit conversion error.
