Thank you for watching! We're finally in December. There's only a few days left in the year! Today's review is this one. You've been asking me to review it for a while now. [Today's Review] The CASIO Tough Solar AQ-S820W-1AJF. This channel doesn't specifically limit the watches it introduces to Casio watches. I bought it for ¥5,390. I'm not sure if it's appropriate to call it a Casio watch at that price, but currently, almost all Casio watches are part of the Casio Standard Series lineup. I'll be introducing this one as a Casio watch. Now, let's get started. But first...it's big! lol. I haven't opened it yet, but the time is easy to read even with the box open. Great! [After Unboxing] My first impression: This has a high-quality feel, lol. For a moment, I seriously thought it was a Pro Trek G. Also, before I opened it, I thought it would be pretty heavy because of the big case, but it actually exceeded my expectations and is actually quite light for its build. Wow, this is definitely worth reviewing. Isn't it great? I think this was released around September of this year (September 19, 2025). Soon after its release, it received rave reviews from the Casio fanatics. "They've released something cool," "It's a watch with a high-quality feel," and so on. I've heard those kinds of reviews, and they certainly live up to them. Huh? It feels a little strange, lol. Usually on this Cub-Style Channel, I often find myself complaining about Casio's poor features or how the band is crap, but this time, I feel like I'm going to be praising it, which is a rare episode, lol. At first glance, Casio has the big case that's popular these days, but it really has a well-balanced appearance. Before we get into the specs, let's compare it to other big-case watches. First, the AE-1500. This is the original Casio model with its large font. It has the same round shape. As you'd expect, there's a difference between hands and digital time display, but the case size is almost the same. The thickness is like this. Either way, it's a G-SHOCK lol. Next up is the AE-1600. I reviewed this last month or so. It's a popular model with over 110,000 views. Because it's square, it looks small, but the length and width of the case are not much different. The thickness is also almost the same. Next up: Compared to the MRW-210H, the largest hand-operated big-case watch. It's so big it's almost a joke. To be honest, I hardly ever use it, lol. When you line them up like this, the 210 is a clear winner, lol. Now, we're not competing in size, we're just looking at the visual differences between the big-case watches. Even though they both have hand-operated watches, don't you think the S820 makes the time easier to read? The dial back is less cluttered, so the S820 feels much easier to read. Now, let's compare it with a regular-sized Casio Casio. This is the iconic Casio Casio that everyone knows. The F-91W. You can imagine this even before comparing them, but it looks like this. It's weird, but the entire F-91 case would probably be buried inside the S820. This is a pile-on, lol. Well, now you know the size. So, let me introduce some of the features of the S820 that I've noticed so far. Well, it's a bit rough, but I'll list them in the order I noticed them. Feature 1: Tough Solar Feature 2: Analog-digital with an LCD display at the 6 o'clock position Feature 3: Easy to read the time Feature 4: The large case adds a sense of presence Feature 5: At first glance, it looks like a Navitimer I think I mentioned five. Other features include 10 ATM water resistance and world time, but that's about it. Well, this is a serious review, so I mentioned a few features earlier, but if I had to sum it up in one word, it's "cool." Now, I'll list the detailed specs here.
