SÁPMI: SEA TO SEA - packrafting across Scandinavia
In the summer of 2024 a group of friends embarks on a unique route, an ambitious version of entirely self-supported Scandinavian traverse, using packraft type boats. Plenty of backpacking, paddling, whitewater and... some DIY sauna experience on the way. 17 days exploring majestic sub-arctic region, called Sápmi (or Lapland), from the Norwegian coast to the Baltic sea and a solid proof that long-distance wilderness journeys are still available within the boundaries of Europe. Tackling 504 km of wilderness terrain and the most beautiful rivers of the region – Vindelälven, Delikälven, Laisälven and Byskeälven– each worthy of a paddling trip in its own.
