The Edmonton Heritage Festival was founded in 1974. At that time, the festival had a shared stage for ethnic groups to take turns performing their unique cultural performances. Since 1976, each cultural group have had its own space, including a kitchen, a gallery, and a stage. The most recent festival was in 2019 with more than 230 pavilions of cultural groups from over 100 countries on an area of ​​20 hectares.
