And even though Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Fulfilled has garnered a lot of negative criticism—rightfully so, it should be noted—there are still a number of positive reviews for this film. Sure, Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Fulfilled has a ridiculously low budget, and it shows in every aspect, but compared to its two predecessors, the fourth installment is almost consistently enjoyable throughout. The pacing is lightning fast; Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Fulfilled doesn't waste time explaining the Djinn's mythology in detail, but rather understands that only people already familiar with the franchise will watch this film anyway. There are funny one-liners, plenty of breasts, and the recurring theme of sex is a constant presence throughout. The practical effects are convincing; the Djinn may look like the final boss in a Godzilla movie, but even that has its charm. Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Fulfilled knows exactly what it wants to be: a mindless, over-the-top fantasy horror film with a dash of humor. The disastrously poor German dubbing is hilarious and adds another layer of entertainment to Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Fulfilled. Given the circumstances, Wishmaster 4: The Prophecy Fulfilled is a worthy end to this mediocre franchise, and I give it 5 out of 10 points.
