A Memorable Incident of 1968 | Baba Fateh Muhammad's Surma | Rehmat Ullah Sandhu

Assalamu Alaikum! This incident took place in 1968, when I was studying in the 9th grade. During that time, one of my eyes became seriously affected. My family was deeply worried and made every effort to seek medical treatment, but there was little improvement. My grandmother advised me to visit Baba Fatah Muhammad of Ghazi Pur Ghaggan. He was a pious, noble, and God-fearing elder. People respected him greatly, and he was widely known for his sincerity, good character, and service to humanity. Following my grandmother’s advice, I went to meet Baba Fatah Muhammad Sahib. With kindness and compassion, he examined my eye and applied surma (traditional kohl) only once. By the grace and mercy of Allah Almighty, my eye was completely healed. Whenever I remembered this incident, I was reminded of Baba Fatah Muhammad Sahib’s affection, kindness, and righteousness. May Allah Almighty shower His countless blessings and mercy upon him.
