Audi Q8 hybrid 2025 review: 60 TFSI e quattro S line PHEV | New rival to BMW X6 family SUV plugs in

The 2025 Audi Q8 represents the midlife facelift of the style-focused first-generation large SUV, with it ushering in a more powerful plug-in hybrid (PHEV) flagship, dubbed 60 TFSI e quattro S line – to use its full name. Either way, the four-ringed model is trying to tempt luxury-car buyers out of the similarly swoopy BMW X6 and Mercedes-Benz GLE Coupe. Like the pre-facelift version, the new Q8 PHEV combines a 3.0-litre turbo-petrol V6 engine with an electric motor, but their combined outputs are now 360kW of power (+20kW) and 700Nm of torque. This extra grunt enables an improved 0-100km/h acceleration time of five seconds flat (-0.4s). Better yet, its larger, 25.9kWh battery pack (+7.6kWh) delivers an electric-only driving range of 74km (+15km).
