It consists of 14 boys and girls from elementary, middle, and high school, with an average age of 13. They gained popularity on TikTok as "a group of elementary and middle school students who want to make their summer vacation projects go viral," and debuted in 2024 with "♪WA・BI・SA・BI." Since then, they have released numerous songs and become hugely popular, especially among Gen Z and Gen Alpha! With the goal of a "nationwide tour," they work hard every day, performing live shows all over the country and appearing in the media. They agreed to an exclusive interview with Fieldcaster. Seven of the male members answered our questions. It's been a year and a half since their debut. When asked about his current feelings, RYUDO's eyes lit up as he said, "We've had more opportunities to perform, and many more people have been able to see us. The support from our fans is a huge source of strength for us, so I want to give back and I've been thinking a lot about how we can make it even more enjoyable for them." He then shared some specific ideas for making it more enjoyable: "First and foremost, our dancing and singing on stage have to be perfect. Then we add originality and arrangements that can only be seen at that particular live performance. It would be great if the audience noticed something different (laughs). After that, we just have fun!" he said with a smile. Now, their TikTok views exceed 300 million, and they're incredibly active, appearing at major events like "TGC KIDS" and on music programs like "CDTV Live! Live!" With so many people now knowing about them, have there been any changes in their personal lives? When asked, GAKU said, "The biggest change is my school life. My school friends are still as friendly as ever, but every time a new song comes out, they're constantly imitating the dance in the hallway. I'm like, 'That's the wrong move here!' but I end up dancing along with them. For our debut song, '♪WA・BI・SA・BI,' they're constantly doing the 'bowing dance' in the hallway." He revealed that he's attracting attention even at school. However, due to the busy schedule of PG's activities, he also has some struggles. "I've ended up doing my homework on the train instead of at home. My handwriting has become really shaky, and even my teachers tell me, 'Your handwriting is really wobbly!' (laughs)," he said, blushing. With the weather getting warmer and summer just around the corner, what would the members like to do together in their private lives? TENSHiN explained, "I'd like to go shopping for accessories with RYUDO and REi. The reason is that I really admire NI-KI from ENHYPEN, and I absolutely love his fashion style, so I want to try to imitate his outfits." He added, "I've been getting fashion advice from RYUDO for the past six months. He gives me detailed advice, so I'd like to go shopping with him sometime soon. REi was really happy when I bought him a mesh cap for his birthday the other day, so I'd like to exchange gifts with him sometime." This showed a glimpse of the close bond between the members. KAREN said she has something she wants to try at the pool this summer. The reason given was, "Last summer vacation, there was an event at Oiso Long Beach. After the event, we had time to go swimming, so we went to buy swim trunks, and then we were able to dive into the pool, and it was so much fun." He continued, "REi and I went to the highest point two or three times. TENSHiN is not a strong swimmer, so he gave up, but AOi said, 'I can do it! I can do it!' and went up to 5 meters. Then he suddenly started saying, 'Wait a minute... I'm scared! I'm scared!' and let the girls behind him go ahead. He chickened out, so I'd like to try again next time we go together." He urged AOi to try diving again. AOi himself chuckled, "I probably can't do it. I'm really bad at jumping from high places..." RYUDO revealed, "Last week we went to Saga Prefecture, and even then, he was constantly saying, 'This is bad! This is bad!' and clinging to my hand the whole time (on the plane)." What kind of things would you like to do in the future on various media such as YouTube and television? REi said, "I like food, so I'd like to do something like a food comparison. Like, blindfolded, 'A is this,' 'B is that.' We'd like to do a segment where we eat the same dish and compare things like 'which is more expensive' or 'which is of better quality.'" AOi said, "I like baseball, so I'd like to do a baseball-related segment. I performed at the opening ceremony before a game at ZOZO Marine Stadium on May 3rd, and it was my first time performing at a baseball stadium, so I'd like to try various baseball-related segments in the future."
