What is Capoeira? | International Slavery Museum
This documentary film explores the Afro-Brazilian art-form of Capoeira: the magic, game, roots and contemporary uses of this inspiring and creative cultural heritage. It presents powerful examples from around the world of people using Capoeira in some of the most challenging circumstances for positive social change, and shows how the power of the past can be brought to today to enrich and transform people’s lives for a better tomorrow. The film was produced by Liverpool-based Social Enterprise ‘Capoeira for All CIC’, in partnership with the International Slavery Museum for Black History Month.
