Sydney to Wagga Wagga on Qantaslink | QF2229

Hi travellers, What is it like to fly regionally in Australia? In this video I show the 1 hour flight between Sydney and Wagga Wagga in New South Wales. This dash 8 flight is scheduled to leave Sydney at 3:02pm and arrive at Wagga at 4pm. I do find as this same plane shuttles back and forth all day that delays are frequent with the later flights. I was lucky today. If you want to guarantee on time, take the first flight of the day. Regional flights are great for hand luggage, as you can drop it at the foot of the stairs or incline to the plane and it will be in the same place when you get out at the other end. Having taken this flight numerous times, don't worry if you don't get a premium luggage bag tag, it's with all the others. The overhead bins onboard are too small for wheelie luggage and other larger sized cabin bags. I take my handbag onboard only. There's 2 seats on either side. The leg room isn't fantastic and there is no recline on these seats, but it is only short. The bathroom is located at the front of the cabin. Even though it's only an hour, a snack and beverage service is offered. If you fly the next flight then you will have wine and beer available too. Personally, I like seat 19D, even though it was taken on this flight. Then the view is not of the propeller and with seat select if its not a full flight then you may not have a neighbour. It does mean you're last off the flight. However, if you have checked luggage that's not an issue as they are not quick enough to unload it by the time you disembark. The next morning I took the first flight out QF2220 departing at 630am arriving in Sydney at 730am. Luggage closes 30 mins before your flight. Fortunately there was a queue at check in, I was late. Plus there is security at Wagga airport too. There is no Qantas Club lounge and no free wifi.
