In this video, I show you how to create an animated heartbeat monitor using only one MAX7219 8x8 LED matrix. The first complete effect displays a full-screen beating heart, changes to a 70 BPM screen, briefly drops to 68 BPM, returns to 70 BPM, and finishes with the animated heart. The second complete effect is made for Halloween. The heart beats for five seconds, slowly disappears, and then changes to a flatline for five seconds.
