đ HOMILĂA DOMINGO XVI DEL TIEMPO ORDINARIO. Ciclo A. "El trigo y la cizaña". (18-VII-2026) đ
A reading from the Book of Wisdom 12:13, 16-19 Besides you, there is no other God who cares for all, to whom you must prove that you do not judge unjustly. For your strength is the source of justice, and your dominion over all makes you merciful to all. You display your power against those who do not believe in your perfect power, and you confound the audacity of those who know it. But you, Lord of power, judge with moderation, and govern us with great leniency, for you use your power when you will. By acting in this way, you taught your people that the righteous must be compassionate, and you gave your children a good hope, for you grant repentance to sinners. Psalm 85:5-6, 9-10, 15-16a R/. You, Lord, are good and merciful. You, Lord, are good and gracious, rich in mercy to all who call on you. Lord, hear my prayer, listen to my cry for mercy. R/. All nations will come to worship before you, Lord; they will bless your name: âYou are great and do wondrous deeds; you alone are God.â R/. But you, Lord, a gracious and merciful God, slow to anger, abounding in steadfast love and faithfulness, look upon me and have compassion on me. R/. A reading from the letter of the apostle Saint Paul to the Romans 8:26-27 Brothers and sisters: The Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know how to pray as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God. A reading from the holy Gospel according to Matthew 13:24-30 At that time, Jesus told the crowds another parable: âThe kingdom of heaven is like a man who sowed good seed in his field. But while everyone was sleeping, an enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. When the wheat sprouted and formed heads, then the weeds also appeared. The ownerâs servants came to him and said, âSir, didnât you sow good seed in your field? Where then did the weeds come from?â âAn enemy did this,â he replied. The servants asked him, âDo you want us to go and pull them up?â But he answered them, âNo, because while you are pulling up the weeds, you may uproot the wheat with them. Let both grow together until the harvest. At harvest time I will tell the harvesters: First collect the weeds and tie them in bundles to be burned; then gather the wheat and bring it into my barn.â
