Creating and Randomly Placing Garbage Using PFlow in 3ds Max 2017
Using particle flow it is easy to populate a scene with garbage or even with suitable character props that will add life and also non uniformity to your piece. In this example I use pflow to create mounds of simple garbage similar to the ones in Wall-E - I later was at a talk by Neil Blevins who demonstrated a similar approach that Pixar had actually used to create their effect, the only difference being that they used masks for placement of pieces. This is a much quicker approach that will have your set dressed literally in minutes.
