Full Sling Chair Build Process | Woodturning, Leatherwork & DIY Woodworking

This was easily my most ambitious woodworking project yet! The build pushed me into a lot of new territory, including woodturning (lots of it), leatherwork, using a table saw, and working with a drill press — all for the first time. On top of that, I decided to build not just one, but two chairs, which made it even more challenging to keep them identical. It was a huge learning experience, and I picked up so much along the way. The chairs are made from American white oak, finished with hardwax oil, and feature leather seats sourced all the way from Tuscany, Italy.
