Along Old Railways - Mothballed Yate to Tytherington Grovesend Quarry Mineral Line
Formerly the 'Thornbury branch railway line' ran from Yate to Thornbury in south Gloucestershire.. From 1963 it was used for Quarry movements only, however it was designated 'Out of Use (temporary)' by Network Rail from 2013 whilst the Quarry ceased work. It reopened to serve Tytherington Grovesend quarry in 2017, which again became operational. The Quarry is divided into three segments, the rail serves the main Grovesend segment and the Tunnel runs below the M5 Motorway.
