Olt. Comuna Vișina Nouă a sărbătorit 20 de ani de la reînființare

The town of Vișina Nouă appeared in the annals of history in 1896, as a hamlet consisting of 7 huts that belonged to the Vișina commune, but it became a commune in 1926, later, in 1968, being incorporated into the Vădastra commune. Since 2008, the town has had as mayor Florin Țol, an involved and ambitious young man who initiated and implemented many projects that led to the development of the town, mainly agricultural. Thus, today Vișina Nouă benefits from paved roads, water and sewage networks, as well as economic public lighting, ensuring comfort and accessibility throughout the commune. Investments in education and health are also essential for the town's mayor, who pays attention to the renovation and equipment of schools and medical dispensaries. (...) To mark the 20th anniversary of the re-establishment of the Vișina Nouă commune, Mayor Florin Țol organized a cultural and artistic program on Saturday, June 1, 2019, which began in the morning with several "Children's Day" activities, after which the Cultural Center was inaugurated. The evening was dedicated to folk music and dances offered by the local authorities to all Vișina residents, who joined in the dance and danced until late at night. After the performance of the Folk Ensemble from the locality "Flori de Vișin", the performers and dancers of the Professional Ensemble "Doina Oltului" from Slatina, such as Dorina Mete, Sorina Dinu, Neta Soare, Gabriel Zăvoianu, Cătălin Bărbulescu, Mădălina Deaconu, Denisa Popescu, etc., performed on stage, accompanied by the orchestra under the baton of conductor Cristian Dumitru. The evening ended with a musical performance by Constantin and Cosmin Gagiu and Taraful de la Iancu Jianu, a surprise offered by Mayor Florin Țol to the residents of Vișina Nouă.
