The Chesapeake Bay Bridge, Maryland, USA

The Chesapeake Bay Bridge (locally known as, Bay Bridge) and officially named as the Gov. William Preston Lane Jr. Memorial Bridge. According to Wikipedia, the original span of the bridge, opened in 1952 and with a length of 4.3 miles (6.9 km), was the world's longest continuous over-water steel structure. It has now two separate spans for two ways traffic. It connects the Maryland state's rural Eastern Shore region (Kent Island, Ocean City etc.) with the Annapolis, Baltimore, DC. We passed through (both go and return) this amazing bridge to travel to Ocean City, MD from Pittsburgh, PA on July, 2022. #chesapeakebay #chesapeakebaybridge
