R.E.M - Pilgrimage - Bass Guitar Cover

In 1980 I made a pilgrimage to Auburn University to begin my freshman year. At around the same time UGA neighbor R.E.M was beginning their incredible pilgrimage as the first true progressive college band with their first album Murmer and Radio Free Europe the encore for any self respecting band on the college tour. Bo and Charles were also common sights around campus and town; a very special place, time and people in my life... War Eagle. Pilgrimage was a hidden jewel I've loved from the first time I heard it becoming a comforting “bass” for me on my many travels over the years. The subliminal messages are pronounced with a bass-line so unique and powerful it really drives the song… Fellow alumn, roommate and lifelong friend Grant provided the incredible drone shots of the “The Loveliest Village on the Plains” Auburn campus, stadium and surrounding landscapes, trains and towers. @grantgrizzard6777
