Building Tophouse Panels by the vacuum resin infusion process

In this episode we layup a roof section for a tophouse on a salmon seiner utilizing the vacuum resin infusion process. Our process materials include: 1. The Mold: an aluminum sheet 8' x 20' bent to the camber curve 2. Peel Ply: as a first layer allows us to get a clean surface 3. The Part: A sandwich of 1.5 oz mat - 3508 stitched fiberglass - 1" Baltek C70.75 PVC core - 3508 stitched fiberglass - 1.5 oz mat 4. The Flow Medium: Compoflex is a flow medium, a release film and a peel ply all in one. 5. The Resin Flow Manifold: Omegaflow 500 and Enkafusion 6. The Vacuum Mainfold: MTI hose 7. The Vacuum Bag: Airtech Wrightlon 7400 Bagging Film 8. The Resin: Reichhold 33375 Vinylester Infusion resin
