HistoryMaker Charley Pride recalls his decision to sing country music
Country singer Charley Pride (1938 - 2020) had thirty-one gold and four platinum albums, including one which reached quadruple platinum status. Pride was second in sales for RCA Records only to Elvis Presley, and was the first African American inducted into the Grand Ole Opry.
