Episode 1: Ritsuko (Evangelion Analysis Project)
**Additional Comments** Gendo's Silent Words: Another piece of evidence that I forgot to add to the video is that the name of the final scene in End of Evangelion is "I Need You" Ritsuko's Sexual Assault Theory: The chief piece of evidence I forgot to highlight in this video: Ritsuko (Episode 23): "I only needed to *think of him [Gendo]*, "and I could endure any kind of *humiliation*!" (by Seele) "I didn't care *what happened to my body*!" Ritsuko saw Gendo as her mental escape/goal when she endured humiliation by Seele, whatever "happened to her body". So I'm revisiting this video and seeing some comments on the validity of the sexual assault theory. My biggest regret thus far in this project is that I wished I had given more time in the episode for this theory in particular. I have a lot more evidence than what is shown in the episode, in regards to the context of the scene and Seele's quotes, and the events between Gendo and Seele leading up to the interrogation scene, and much more. But I thought that the audience wouldn't stick around for such long episode formats, so I watered it down. Boy, was I wrong. Biggest regret so far, I'll probably add a second part for Ritsuko's episode later on down the line. ------------------------- This is the first episode of the Evangelion Analysis Project, and I thought I'd start out with a more minor character to see what you guys think of the new format. Thanks, guys!
