Apple unveils new AI-powered Siri during annual developers conference

We are learning more this Monday as Apple unveiled new artificial intelligence features at its annual World Wide Developers Conference. One of the biggest updates came as the company announced upgrades to its Siri assistant, emphasizing a focus on privacy and how it will utilize AI to help with day-to-day use. LiveNOW’s Andy Mac is speaking with Sabrina Ortiz, who is a Senior Reporter at The Deep View, as Apple revealed that the next version of macOS will be called Golden Gate, named after the iconic California landmark. During its WWDC26 keynote, Apple software chief Craig Federighi said the company "embarked on a deep collaboration with Google," leveraging technology behind Google's Gemini family of AI models. It was also CEO Tim Cook’s last appearance at the conference on behalf of Apple. Cook was met with an extended standing ovation and told the audience he is "deeply grateful to have been on this journey with you" and said "the energy around Apple platforms has never been stronger."
