They increase blood circulation in the joints, reduce stiffness and maintain the natural fluid (Synovial Fluid) of the joints, thereby reducing pain. The main benefits of these exercises and the method of practice are given below: 1. Padanguli Naman (Padanguli Naman - Bending the Toes)Benefits: Removes stiffness of the fingers and increases blood circulation in the veins. It is very beneficial in the initial symptoms of arthritis. Practice: Sit with your legs stretched straight. Stretch only the toes forward and then pull them back towards you. 2. 3. Golf Naman (Ankle Roll)Benefits: Reduces ankle and knee pain. Makes the leg muscles flexible and helps reduce joint swelling. Practice: Keeping the legs straight, stretch both the ankles forward and then slowly pull them backward (towards the knees). 4. Golf Chakra (Ankle Roll)Benefits: Strengthens the muscles around the ankle joints and acts as a 'pump' to reduce foot swelling. Practice: Keep a little distance between both the feet. Without joining the toes together, rotate them clockwise (straight) and then anti-clockwise (reverse). 5. Janu Naman (Knee Bending)Benefits: Stimulates the production of natural lubricant (synovial fluid) in the knee joints, making it easier to bend and straighten the knee. Naturally relieves knee stiffness.Practice: Sit in Dandasana. Bend the right leg at the knee, bring the thigh close to the chest, and hold the thigh beneath the thigh with both hands.
