CILINDRO DE MARBORE 🏔️ Segundo intento! ESTA VEZ VAMOS CON TODO💪🏼

THE FIRST TIME WITH ❄️ AND 🌬️ WE COULDN'T REACH THE MARBORÉ CYLINDER, THIS TIME WE'RE GOING ALL OUT! Chimney climbs aren't for everyone. ARE THEY THE BEST VIEWS OF MONTE PERDIDO? 🤔 We're heading to Ordesa and Monte Perdido National Park, Huesca. 🏔️Objective: Marboré Cylinder and Pitón SW 📅Date: July 19, 2025 🥾Distance: 27 km 🕒Time: 12 hours +/- 📈Altitude gain: between 1,400 and 1,500 m positive and 2,400 m negative 🅿️ We're starting the adventure from Nerín by taking the bus that takes you up to the Cierracils viewpoint. We'll save on the altitude difference, which we'll be grateful for later. However, it's quite expensive and takes about 45 minutes to climb. Once at the top, we'll head towards the Goriz Refuge. We'll join the route to Monte Perdido and follow it to the frozen lake. We'll turn left to climb the small spit to the pass that separates the Pitón SW del Cilindro and the Cilindro de Marboré. ⚠️ Don't forget to do the Pitón, which is a 3,000m climb and consists of two steps. The chimney has an initial step of grade III followed by steps of grade II. I'm not going to encourage you to do it without belaying; everyone knows their own level there. We walk a few meters along a wide ridge, avoiding some rocks, and we reach the second ledge. These steps are grade II, but you're not as protected and feel more exposed. There are steps to progress. You'll think you're already at the summit, but there are still about 200 meters to go along a very comfortable ridge. The descent is always the worst part, and it's no exception. We descended carefully. We wanted to rappel down the chimney, but it was occupied, so we decided to scramble down the chimney to the right, which is less exposed. It's not difficult, but you can't make mistakes. We didn't have a return ticket, so we had to walk to Nerín, a pretty steep climb with 2,400m of elevation gain.
