TEKKEN 5DR (Arcade Namco System 256 vs PlayStation 3) comparison 4K 60FPS

Welcome to the 4th episode of “From arcades to home”! Today, we’re taking a look at TEKKEN 5 DARK RESURRECTION, we’re specifically looking at both the arcade (Namco System 256) and the PlayStation 3 port of the game. We’re not including the PSP port for this comparison. All clips and footage were directly captured from real hardware using the Elgato Camlink 4K and/or OSSC (for 256)/HDMI output from PS3 and upscaled to 4K for best viewing quality. *** If possible, please watch in 1440p or 4K for best viewing experience! 1080p and lower seem to completely compress the video.*** TEKKEN 5DR came out in arcades in 2005/2006 and the home ports came out in 2006 (PSP) and 2007 for PSN. The PlayStation 3 port didn’t have any physical release as it was released as a PSN downloadable game. A later online update version was released later that same year. The arcade version uses the same card system as Tekken 5.0/5.1 for character customization and data saving. The arcade version runs in 4:3 480p while the PS3 version runs in 16:9 1080p. Originally both the PSP and arcade versions of the game have the FINAL STAGE 2 stage but the PS3 version omits it from the selectable Tekken 5 stages. The PS3 versions also have Jinpachi Mishima as an unlockable character as well.
