Secret Family Radio - Shawn Phillips (Ep. 101)

In this episode of Secret Family Radio, we feature Shawn Phillips. Shawn is an artist and Louisville resident who's been just about everywhere and done just about everything. The list of his accomplishments is long, and the stories are legendary - they range from giving Joni Mitchell some of her first guitar lessons to introducing George Harrison to the sitar. Shawn also co-wrote songs like "Season of the Witch" with Donovan and had a close friendship with The Rolling Stones' founding member Brian Jones. This interview / podcast is perhaps closer to a hangout among friends. My hope is that listeners experience this from a bit of a "fly on the wall" perspective, just like they're stopping by and sitting in on an afternoon conversation between a few buddies. In addition to myself, Lee Zimmerman - a close friend of Shawn's who's been following his career from the very beginning - helped make these conversations possible.
