1980 Holiday Bowl
This is the 12/19/1981 SMU vs BYU game. The Holiday Bowl. SMU was a very young team but also very talented. Eric Dickerson and Craig James were sophomores and so was stellar nose guard Michael Carter. BYU was loaded with talented players as well. The lost their opener at New Mexico and then steamrolled 11 straight opponents coming into this matchup. This was one of the great finishes in college football history. SMU was in complete control until late 4'th quarter and then everything came unravelled in a miracle finish. I claim no rights.
