2016-09-10: WORK HARD AND WORK SMART is recorded live from The Work Series from 2016-05-0_ Work is a wonderful gift given to us by God. Ever since the beginning of human existence, in the Garden of Eden, humans have been at work; "The Lord God took the man and put him in the Garden of Eden to work it and take care of it." Also, a few verses later: "Now the Lord God had formed out of the ground all the wild animals and all the birds in the sky. He brought them to the man to see what he would name them; and whatever the man called each living creature, that was its name. So the man gave names to all the livestock, the birds in the sky and all the wild animals" So, obviously, in the beginning, God wanted us to work. So, if we want His Kingdom come and His will be done on earth as it is in heaven, we should work smart and work hard rather than just pray for revival. Success is work. Success requires effort. And God has said that His obedient followers will be the head and not the tail. Through work, you can be an inventer, an innovator, and a type of co-creator with God, bringing God's light and salt into the world anew. Just as God invented humans to glorify him and to work the land He put them in, God's plan for your life is for you to grow, cultivating and working on yourself and then to work the land he created for you. If you want to be a King, if you want to be tasked with God's work -- Kingdom management -- then you don't need to pray for miracles and revivals any more than you need to work and discipline yourself. With the proper work and effort, you can be anything.
