The Public Prosecutor's Office of Rio de Janeiro has opened a case against seven people who worked in the office of former city councilman Carlos Bolsonaro. The former chief of staff, Jorge Luiz Fernandes, and six other former aides are being investigated for administrative misconduct for the practice of "rachadinha" (a scheme involving the misappropriation of public funds). They were already indicted last month for criminal organization and embezzlement of public money. Former city councilman Carlos Bolsonaro is not on the list of defendants in this case. The investigation against him for suspected "rachadinha" is still ongoing.
