We left early Saturday morning and arrived at the Minami Shinshu Iida Fruit Sorting Center around 7:30 AM. There were 180 cases available that day, but apparently the number varies from day to day. About 80 people were lined up by the 8 AM start time, and the 180 cases were divided among them, with each person allowed to buy up to two cases. There are three sizes: large, medium, and small, with the large being the most popular. Seeing the large cases disappear so quickly made me worried about whether I'd be able to buy any, but I managed to purchase two large cases and two medium cases. Perhaps it's better to line up a little earlier... Afterwards, we toured the direct sales shops along the Fruit Line. If you time it right with the farmers' deliveries, you might be able to buy peaches at a great price even late at night!
