How To: Shotblast De-dust For Epoxy Floor Coatings
Fluid applied epoxy floor coatings are formulated to attain adhesion by absorption. The more clean and open a substrate is made, the better the resin will saturate the surface. Once the coating hardens, the surface will become a uniform matrix of concrete and epoxy. This surface combination serves as the subsequent system’s foundation. It is the layer that anchors everything which covers it. The process of de-dusting by shotblast is done to remove all grinding dust and leave no residue. After the process is complete the surface is magnet swept to remove loose shot. At this point it is fully ready to receive the first coat. The video documents the de-dusting, inspection, humidity testing, and epoxy skimming processes. 🇩🇪🤝🇺🇸 #SURFACEPREPARATION #SHOTBLASTER
