Let's Play Star Trek Online Season 36: Undiscovered New Deep Space Encounters revamped for 2026. In this video, I do a full deep dive first-time reaction playthrough of the Deep Space Encounters in STO. This is a long video, where I play the new DSE's for the first time, and learn how they operate. I will play every single DSE combat type on both Federation and KDF. Because this is my first time playing them, this is just a casual learning experience, so join me in my journey as I explore how they work. As of July 7th, 2026, Star Trek Online has launched Season 36 and the special event "Undiscovered." In this new update, the Deep Space Encounters (DSE) have been totally revamped in Sector Space, with all-new gameplay mechanics, graphics, gameplay styles, and rewards. In addition, a new, revamped version of "The Kuvah'Magh" has been released. Sector Space has also received new iconography and the ability to gain Boons or Bonus Buffs to activate inside Deep Space Encounters. In addition, Season 36 has revamped the HUD Compass on both ground and in space, with new iconography. In the new special event Undiscovered, you can participate to earn daily progression toward the grand prize of a free Tier 6 Klingon K’Vort Temporal Flight Deck Raptor. There are three new types of Deep Space Encounters: Waves, Support, and Defense. In Waves, you will fight many oncoming enemy forces. In Support, you lend aid to allied parties and complete various tasks. In Defense, you will rebuild turrets, set up scanners, and build up a series of objectives while facing threats. Environments, locales, and natural phenomena are also randomized, as well as enemies, depending on the quadrant of space. In this long form video I will play every type of Deep Space Encounter casually, experiencing them for the first time, and simply giving my first time reaction, feedback, and commentary as I experience them. I will play several of them in different quadrants, with different enemies, on both the Federation and Klingon factions! I will also discover how the new Boon's work. I will provide a lot of commentary, thoughts and opinions along the way in this gameplay with a webcam view.
