Another Kent Benson Sampler (a perfect 7-for-7 quarter)

April 11, 1984 - Kent Benson seemed to have Philly's number for a portion of the 1983-84 season. After a 7-for-8 performance against the Sixers in February, Benson came out and hit his first seven shots in this 126-113 win over the 76ers in April. The victory ended the Pistons' 10-year losing streak at the Spectrum. Acquired as the key return in the deal that sent Bob Lanier to the Milwaukee Bucks in 1980, Kent Benson spent over six seasons in Detroit, peaking as a 16-point scorer in '81 and serving as the team's starting center as they ascended from basement dweller to playoff contender. Alas, with Pistons head coach Chuck Daly looking for an upgrade at small forward, Benson found himself packaged alongside Kelly Tripucka in a deal for Utah's Adrian Dantley, his exit coinciding with the start of the Pistons' Bad Boys Era.
