BMW 325xi (E46/M54) Oil Change

A quick and easy oil change completed on this 2005 BMW 325xi with a 2.5L inline 6 (M54) engine. The engine takes 7 litres of Castrol synthetic 5W 30 although in this video we opt to go with 5W 40. A new MANN oil filter comes with a new O-ring and crush-washer and the only other tools you need are: 36mm socket (for oil filter cap) -17mm socket (for drain plug) -Catch basin for draining the oil -Pick or screwdriver to remove the old o-ring -Gloves and rags are handy too -Ramps or some other way of lifting the vehicle enough to get underneath to reach the drain plug.
