It's similar to games like Battlefield or Heroes and Generals. The only difference is that you control a squad of AI soldiers. Four campaigns are currently available: the Battle of Moscow, the Normandy landings, the Battle of Berlin, and the Tunisia campaign. The game is currently in Open Beta and is available to anyone. On September 8th, a new campaign in Tunisia entered Closed Beta. British and Italian troops will clash on sandy maps. A new troop type has been added: motorcyclists. On December 16, 2021, a major update was released with a new "Escort of an Armored Train" mode and a new large map. New tanks were also introduced: the Tiger IS-1, Churchill, Crusader, and others. New mechanics were added. On March 30, 2022, an update was released with a new campaign in Stalingrad. It features customization mechanics and the ability to call in airstrikes against the enemy. Also added were the KV-1, PZ4 F2, and a new type of vehicle, flamethrower tanks. A new soldier class, the medic, was also introduced. The game recreates the atmosphere, weapons, and military equipment of the era, and the battles are large-scale: a single battle involves hundreds of soldiers, tanks, and aircraft, supported by artillery and naval forces. In most Enlisted modes, the player engages in infantry combat across multiple platoons and controls a squad of soldiers with various specializations (machine gunner, sniper, radio operator, rifleman, grenade launcher) or a combat vehicle crew. The player can directly control any soldier and issue commands to the others. If all soldiers are killed, the player leads the next available squad onto the battlefield. Enlisted is currently testing modes for 20 players and up to 140 soldiers in a single session simultaneously. This solution gives Enlisted battles a large-scale feel, with each individual player's contribution to the team's victory clearly visible. Enlisted is being developed by Darkflow Software using the Dagor engine, the same engine that powers Gaijin Entertainment's online military action game War Thunder. Therefore, the meticulously recreated ground and air combat vehicles look, move, and control as if they were in real life, and their damage model is realistic. For example, if a shell penetrates a tank's armor, the trajectory of the fragments and the consequences for the vehicle's components and each individual crew member are calculated. Features: – Grandiose mass battles, replicating the scale of historical battles, such as the landing on Omaha Beach. Enemies in battle often outnumber the ammo in the magazine, but they also die from a few hits. – High contribution of each player to the team's victory: despite the scale of the battle, the outcome significantly (for example, 1/10th, not 1/70th) depends on the performance of each individual player. The actions of one person can turn the tide of the entire battle. – Diversity of game roles: in the same battle, you can clear a trench with automatic fire, win a sniper duel, break through tank defenses, knock out an enemy armored vehicle with a grenade, or provide air cover for your allies. – Enlisted is realistic down to the smallest detail – from the appearance of soldiers and buildings to the tank damage mechanics, as well as the list of weapons and vehicles available in specific historical battles. – Players can customize and train squads to suit their personal combat style – change soldiers' equipment and obtain perks and upgrades for them, all while maintaining authenticity.
