Festa Santa Marija Mgarr 2011- Mass marking Centenary Celebrations

In 2012, Mgarr will be celebrating 100 years since the first stone of the iconic Santa Marija parish church was laid way back in 1912. The year long celebrations, which will be featuring several unique and innovative events, was kicked off with a celebratory mass and the unveiling and blessing of a magnificent new niche in white marble for the titular statue. A brief shot of the fireworks manufactured by Mgarr's own factory, and workers posing with the fruits of their hard labour is also shown at the start of this video.
