R. HAGE G. GEINGOB COMMEMORATION CEREMONY AT STATE HOUSE—04 February 2025

The commemoration ceremony for the first anniversary of the late H.E. Dr. Hage G. Geingob, the third president of Namibia, is taking place at State House where various speakers, among them President Nangolo Mbumba, pay tribute to the late Namibian President. Geingob served as president from 2015 until his death on February 4, 2024, and is celebrated for his contributions to Namibia's nation-building programmes, emphasising good governance, transparency, and inclusivity. Geingob is also revered for advancing Namibia's energy sector, focussing on increasing energy access and developing renewable resources and a green hydrogen sector.
