Christmas morning started early… but not early enough 😅 We woke up ready to prepare the umu, only to realize it needed to be ready by 10:30am! From there, everything turned into a rush — and somehow, nothing was ready at the same time 😂 But that’s island life and Christmas in Samoa for you. In this episode, we take you through our full Christmas Day journey: 🔥 A last-minute umu with breadfruit, taro, and palusami 🔥 Lamb flaps and fish roasted on the umu 🍲 My wife cooked her specialty seafood boil and also roasted pork belly 🍽️ Our Christmas to‘onai shared with family 🎁 The kids opening their Christmas gifts 🚗 A trip to Apia to visit my mom and wish her a Merry Christmas 🎋 Ending the day with our fagaofe (bamboo cannon) — loud, fun, and full of laughter!
