Whitehall Township is located in the center of the Lehigh Valley, it’s the Lehigh Valley’s “downtown.” Whitehall is the second largest municipality in Lehigh County by population, home to 27,500 residents. The township is mainly residential with approximately 50% of the land devoted to residences and 40% to commercial purposes. Whitehall's MacArthur Road (aka PA 145) is known as the main shopping district in the Lehigh Valley. Whitehall is home to the largest indoor shopping center and Lifestyle Center at the Lehigh Valley Mall. You will also find four additional shopping centers located along the "Golden Strip" (MacArthur Road). There are several other shopping plazas along Grape Street there you will also find most of Whitehall’s sit down restaurants. The Whitehall-Coplay School District is located on an 143-acre campus, with one high school, one middle school, one intermediate school, two elementary schools, two stadiums and The Whitehall Coplay Community Library.
