Human life is precious and prized among God’s creation. We are a part of creation and set apart from creation. Motivation matters, but the consequences of taking human life are still dire. The city of refuge is a people. The world demands an immediate response, the Bible calls us to a wise response. The high priest’s death symbolically atoned for the manslayer's sin. Our God provides an eternal city of refuge in the Gospel.
